Reading
I started reading many years ago when I finally had my children grown and had some free time on my hands. Starting with Danielle Steel's "Fine Things" I really became involved with the characters and felt the emotions and outrage of Barnard Fine's situation and the things happening to him and his family. It was imposssible to put down, and many others as well until I could not find a book by Danielle Steel that I had not read. So I search around and found a interesting story called:"Moonlight Becomes You" by Mary Higgins Clark..it was completely different than anything I had read before and.....well I was hooked! You will enjoy her many characters, especially Alvirah and Willy Meeham, the Lottery Winners, who I am happy to say, show up in a few other novels, as well as reading her first book,"Where Are The Children?" written in 1975 and is still awesome to read today.
Where Are The Children
With the Publication of "Where Are The Children"; in 1975, Mary Higgins Clark launched her career as a world renowned suspense writter. Her debut suspene thriller became the first of her thirty two national bestsellers-and it has since become a modern classic.
Nancy Harmon long ago fled the heartbreak of her first marriage, the macabre deaths of her two little children, and the shocking charges against her. She changed her name, dyed her hair, and left California for the windswept peace of Cape Cod. Now remarried, she has two more beloved children, and the terrible pain has begun to heal-until the morning when she looks in the backyard for her little boy and girl and finds only one red mitten. She knows that the nightmare is beginning again.
He Sees You When You're Sleeping
Like Mother, Like Daughter
Of course, I ate up all of Mary Higgins Clark's books and went looking again...this time I found a book written not only by Mary, but her daughter Carol Higgins Clark as well. They had teamed up on a novel called: "He Sees You When You're Sleeping" and it is a heartwarming tale of redeemption and love. A great Holiday reading for the whole family.
Sterling Brooks has been cooling his heels in the Celestial Waiting Room for forty-six years, waiting for admission to heaven. Finally, just days before Christmas, he's summoned before the Heavenly Council and found unworthy; throughout his life he had been hopelessly self-absorbed. To redeem himself, he is given the chance to go back to Earth and find someone to help. I bet you can't wait to run out and find this book or better yet just go to Amazon.com (the link is on my page ) and order it. They are so good with the selections, you wll be able to find all of the Higgins's novels, and at a great price. I also am hooked on Amazon.

Million-dollar pintings have been disappearing, and an old friend of Regans's -folksy ex-con named Eben Bean-has vanished too.
The book, "Hitched" ( A Regan Reilly Mystery) has Regan getting ready for her wedding to Jack,( no relation) Reilly, whom she met when her father was kidnapped. Jack was the head of the Major Case Squad in New York City, and he worked day and night to get Luke, her father back. In the process, he and Regan had fallen in love.
